A message from the TPSF
Today in the wake of this global pandemic, I am forever grateful to be a part of this family of medicine. Whether you are on the front lines or supporting in keeping the Home front going, we all play a vital role in this together.
The TPS has put together a list of resources for pediatricians to provide members with the information they need to help them during this time. This compilation of resources is available on this website at https://txpeds.org/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19 and contains daily updates from both state and national organizations including DSHS, the AAP, and the CDC.
The TPS Foundation has funds dedicated to Emergency/Disaster Relief and Recovery. Funds are utilized for emergency relief and recovery efforts conducted by physicians and other child advocacy organizations in Texas during times of a natural disaster such as a hurricane, flood, fire, earthquake and other emergency events such as pandemics. Funds for Emergency/Disaster relief and recovery purposes can be requested at any time. The average range of Foundation grant awards is $1,000-$5,000. If you have an request which falls in to this range, you may request funds of support online using our request form.
With so many unknowns our lives can feel chaotic. We hope you will find some time to take for yourself whether it is exercise, spiritual time, or just a few moments of silence. We will get through this together.
