Recently, we were again made all too aware how blessed we are to pick up our children from school.
Recently, we were again made all too aware how blessed we are to have the opportunity to hug our children, albeit a bit too tightly today.
Recently, we were again made all too aware how blessed we are to have the chance to glance at each of our children during dinner.
Our hearts ache for the families, teachers, school administrators, first responders, and the entire community of Santa Fe High School this evening.
Please know that the members and staff of the Texas Pediatrics Society have you in our thoughts and prayers. We stand and vow to help and be with you in the midst of your tragedy. Inaction is not an option.
The Texas Pediatric Society, the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, affirms that all children deserve to feel and be safe where they live, learn, play, and pray. We recognize that gun violence threatens children’s health and is a public health epidemic. Pediatricians play a key role in injury prevention, and we are committed to protecting children from firearm-related injury and violence and will always advocate for children’s safety.
Below is a compiled list of resources from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
