Tricia Hall, CAE, CMP

Executive Director

Tricia joined TPS in June 2014 and has extensive experience in association management, including the management of several medical specialty societies during her time with the Texas Medical Association.  Prior to joining TPS, she operated her own company specializing in association management, meeting planning, leadership and strategic planning. Tricia is a graduate of the University of Texas (Bachelor of Business Administration) and is a Certified Association Executive and Certified Meeting Professional. Tricia truly enjoys working with the dedicated pediatricians and TPS’ exceptional staff. She is committed to TPS’ efforts to promote the health and welfare of children.

Tricia recently served on the American Academy of Pediatrics Executive Director Steering Committee (EDSC). The EDSC is a leadership body comprised of seven experienced AAP chapter or district executive directors. The EDSC reports to the AAP Board of Directors, and terms are for three years. Tricia appreciated the opportunity to represent the chapter executive directors from across the country and Canada to the national academy and truly valued her time serving on the EDSC.

Amy White, CAE

Director of Special Programs 

Amy joined the TPS Staff in October of 2006.  Before coming to TPS, Amy worked in nonprofit advocating for the employment of people with disabilities as the Executive Director of the Austin office of Community Options, and prior to that worked for the Texas Dental Association’s Smiles Foundation as the Director of their Donated Dental Services Program.  She has over 20 years of experience in both Association and Nonprofit management, and a B.S from Texas State University.

Clayton Travis, MSSW

Director of Advocacy and Health Policy

Clayton leads TPS' legislative and regulatory advocacy activities. He communicates regularly with state lawmakers, state agency leadership and advocacy coalitions. He mobilizes physician advocates to engage on issues related to child health and the practice of pediatric medicine. Clayton joined the staff of the Texas Pediatric Society in July of 2014 and has extensive experience advocating on behalf of children’s health and mental health care needs. Prior to joining TPS, Clayton worked as a Hogg Foundation Mental Health Policy Fellowship with Texans Care for Children, a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of Texas children. At Texans Care he led policy efforts in children’s health and mental health care coverage, effective implementation of the Affordable Care Act and responsible state budgetary policy. He has also worked as a staff member in the Texas House of Representatives. Clayton holds a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelors degrees in Sociology and Religion from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

Crystal Healey, CAE

Director of Member Services

Crystal originally joined the TPS Staff in January of 2008.  Before coming to TPS, Crystal worked for the Texas Medical Association as their Be-Wise Immunize Program Coordinator.  In 2013, Crystal went on to serve as the Membership Development Coordinator for the Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA) where she helped coordinate over events across Texs and increase chapter relations with over 30 school districts across Texas.  While at TCTA, she also earned her Certified Association Executive credential. Crystal re-joined the TPS staff in July of 2016, and is happy to serve the pediatricians of Texas again. She has a B.S. from the University of Texas and over 10 years of experience in association management.

Anslee Boozer

Pediatric Preceptorship Program Coordinator
Texas Pediatric Society Foundation Manager

Anslee joined TPS in March of 2017. She previously worked as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Texan Eye where she managed patient relations, created marketing packages, and developed social media platforms for the practice. She has a passion for healthcare as well an extensive background in non-profit and foundation work. Anslee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Furman University. Outside of TPS, Anslee loves to run, bike, and explore all that Austin has to offer.

Alix Bronner, MPAff

Public Health Education Manager

Alix joined the TPS team in May 2021. She previously worked on state, local, and presidential political campaigns in Texas, where she implemented voter outreach programs, built data tracking systems, and oversaw the budget and fundraising efforts. Alix has experience conducting research and policy analysis from her time in the Texas House of Representatives and at the Children’s Defense Fund-Texas. She is passionate about public health and is dedicated to improving health outcomes for children. Alix has a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Tulane University.

Angelica Ferrandino, MPaff

TPS Child Health Project Coordinator

Angelica joined the TPS staff in July of 2019. Prior to joining TPS, Angelica served as a Community Investments Intern at St. David’s Foundation, where she supported a grantmaking portfolio of over $70 million across child resilience, women’s health, aging, and rural health issues. She also worked as a Development and Volunteer Coordinator at Maternity Care Coalition, where she raised funds to provide wraparound services and support for families with young children. Angelica is passionate about combatting childhood adversity, strengthening families, building healthy communities, and addressing social inequities.  Angelica has a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and Latin American Studies from Princeton University.

Allison McHorse
Policy Associate, Texas Pediatric Society

Allison joined the TPS staff in February 2021. Prior to joining TPS, she spent time conducting policy research at the Population Institute in Washington D.C and working on congressional campaigns in her home state of Texas. Allison graduated with a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University.

The EDSC reports to the AAP Board of Directors, and terms are for three years. Tricia enjoyed serving on the EDSC and looks forward to other opportunities to represent EDs and District VII.
