Tricia Hall, CAE, CMP

Executive Director

 

Tricia joined TPS in June 2014 and has extensive experience in association management, including the management of several medical specialty societies during her time with the Texas Medical Association.  Prior to joining TPS, she operated her own company specializing in association management, meeting planning, leadership and strategic planning. Tricia is a graduate of the University of Texas (Bachelor of Business Administration) and is a Certified Association Executive and Certified Meeting Professional. Tricia truly enjoys working with the dedicated pediatricians and TPS’ exceptional staff. She is committed to TPS’ efforts to promote the health and welfare of children.

TPS, the Texas Chapter of the AAP, is pleased to announce that TPS Executive Director Tricia Hall, CAE, CMP, has been elected to the American Academy of Pediatrics Executive Director Steering Committee (EDSC). The EDSC is a leadership body comprised of seven experienced AAP chapter or district executive directors. Serving on the EDSC is a wonderful opportunity to represent all executive directors from across the country and Canada to the national academy. The EDSC reports to the AAP Board of Directors, and terms are for three years. Tricia is so excited to represent her fellow executive directors and extremely proud to represent the Texas Pediatric Society and AAP District VII on the committee.

Amy White, CAE

Director of Special Programs and the TPS Foundation

 

Amy joined the TPS Staff in October of 2006.  Before coming to TPS, Amy worked in nonprofit advocating for the employment of people with disabilities as the Executive Director of the Austin office of Community Options, and prior to that worked for the Texas Dental Association’s Smiles Foundation as the Director of their Donated Dental Services Program.  She has over 14 years of experience in both Association and Nonprofit management, and a B.S from Texas State University.

Kellie Dees

Pediatric Public Health Education Manager

 

Kellie joined the TPS staff in July of 2016. Prior to joining TPS, Kellie worked in the Medicaid field for a number of years, both at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission on the development of the STAR Kids Medicaid managed care program, and on the medical and behavioral health side of a Medicaid managed care organization. She has also worked at Child Protective Services in Austin and with the Adult Protection and Mental Health Officers Team in Edinburgh, Scotland. Kellie holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

Crystal Healey, CAE

Membership Services Manager & Exhibits Manager

Crystal originally joined the TPS Staff in January of 2008.  Before coming to TPS, Crystal worked for the Texas Medical Association as their Be-Wise Immunize Program Coordinator.  In 2013, Crystal went on to serve as the Membership Development Coordinator for the Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA) where she helped coordinate over 50 events a year and increase chapter relations with over 30 school districts across Texas.  While at TCTA, she also earned her Certified Association Executive credential. Crystal re-joined the TPS staff in July of 2016, and is happy to serve the pediatricians of Texas again. She has a B.S. from the University of Texas and over 10 years of experience in association management.

Clayton Travis, MSSW

Director of Advocacy and Health Policy

Clayton leads and organizes all TPS legislative and regulatory advocacy activities. He communicates regularly with state lawmakers, state agency leadership and advocacy coalitions. He mobilizes physician advocates to engage on issues related to child health and the practice of pediatric medicine. Clayton joined the staff of the Texas Pediatric Society in July of 2014 and has extensive experience advocating on behalf of children’s health and mental health care needs. Prior to joining TPS, Clayton worked as a Hogg Foundation Mental Health Policy Fellowship with Texans Care for Children, a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of Texas children. At Texans Care he led policy efforts in children’s health and mental health care coverage, effective implementation of the Affordable Care Act and responsible state budgetary policy. He has also worked as a staff member in the Texas House of Representatives. Clayton holds a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelors degrees in Sociology and Religion from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

Anslee Boozer

Pediatric Preceptorship Program Coordinator

Anslee joined TPS in March of 2017. She previously worked as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Texan Eye where she managed patient relations, created marketing packages, and developed social media platforms for the practice. She has a passion for healthcare as well an extensive background in non-profit and foundation work. Anslee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Furman University. Outside of TPS, Anslee loves to run, bike, and explore all that Austin has to offer.

Kaitlyn Clifton, MSSW

Mental Health Policy Fellow

Kaitlyn joined the TPS staff in July of 2016 as a Hogg Foundation Mental Health Policy Fellow.  Prior to joining TPS, Kaitlyn worked as a Bilingual Case Manager with LifeWorks Teen Parent Services, collaborating with other health and mental health professionals to provide wraparound services and support for pregnant and parenting youth. She has a passion for working with disconnected adolescents and has extensive experience in the areas of homelessness, foster care, disability and immigration. Kaitlyn received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Spanish Language at St. Edward’s University and went on to complete her Masters of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. A big believer in research-informed advocacy, Kaitlyn has a particular interest in policy research and analysis and program evaluation. Kaitlyn will be working closely with Clayton Travis during the interim and upcoming session focusing on mental health advocacy.

TPS recognizes Kaitlyn Clifton, Mental Health Policy Fellow, for her work on increasing access to mental health screenings for adolescents.
