Stacey Mather, CAE
Executive Director

Stacey serves as the chief staff member of the Texas Pediatric Society. She oversees the overall administration and operations of TPS, leads the implementation of TPS’ mission and goals, and reports to the Board of Directors. Stacey joined the TPS staff in February 2022 and, prior to joining TPS, she served as the Executive Director for the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Stacey has more than 20 years of experience serving in healthcare associations, including roles in advocacy, payment, practice, and continuing medical education.

Amy White, CAE
Director of Education & Programs 

Amy oversees all education based programs and is responsible for management and oversight of education programs and initiatives, grant management, development, and supervision of all aspects of education projects, from inception to execution, ensuring that objectives are carried out on time and within budget. Before coming to TPS, Amy worked in nonprofit advocating for the employment of people with disabilities as the Executive Director of the Austin office of Community Options, and prior to that worked for the Texas Dental Association’s Smiles Foundation as the Director of their Donated Dental Services Program.  She has over 20 years of experience in both Association and Nonprofit management, and a B.S from Texas State University.

Clayton Travis, MSSW
Director of Advocacy and Health Policy

Clayton leads TPS' legislative and regulatory advocacy activities. He communicates regularly with state lawmakers, state agency leadership and advocacy coalitions. He mobilizes physician advocates to engage on issues related to child health and the practice of pediatric medicine. Clayton joined the staff of the Texas Pediatric Society in July of 2014 and has extensive experience advocating on behalf of children’s health and mental health care needs. Prior to joining TPS, Clayton worked as a Hogg Foundation Mental Health Policy Fellowship with Texans Care for Children, a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of Texas children. At Texans Care he led policy efforts in children’s health and mental health care coverage, effective implementation of the Affordable Care Act and responsible state budgetary policy. He has also worked as a staff member in the Texas House of Representatives. Clayton holds a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelors degrees in Sociology and Religion from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

Crystal Healey, CAE
Director of Member Services

Crystal originally joined the TPS Staff in January of 2008.  Before coming to TPS, Crystal worked for the Texas Medical Association as their Be-Wise Immunize Program Coordinator.  In 2013, Crystal went on to serve as the Membership Development Coordinator for the Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA) where she helped coordinate over events across Texas and increase chapter relations with over 30 school districts across Texas.  While at TCTA, she also earned her Certified Association Executive credential. She re-joined the TPS staff in July of 2016, and is happy to serve the pediatricians of Texas again. She has a B.S. from the University of Texas and over 15 years of experience in association management.

Alix Bronner, MPAff
Public Health Education Manager

Alix joined the TPS team in May 2021. She previously worked on state, local, and presidential political campaigns in Texas, where she implemented voter outreach programs, built data tracking systems, and oversaw the budget and fundraising efforts. Alix has experience conducting research along with data and policy analysis from her time in the Texas House of Representatives and at the Children’s Defense Fund-Texas. She is passionate about public health and is dedicated to improving health outcomes for children. Alix has a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Tulane University.

Jevone' Mayes, MPH

Manager of Child Health Equity

Jevone' joined the TPS team in August 2022. She is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University's School of Public Health, where she graduated with her Master in Public Health with a certification in Maternal and Child Health Studies. During her MPH program, she interned with the Texas Medical Association in their Division of Population Health and Medical Education Department, where she primarily focused her work on the COVID "Vaccines Defend What Matters" grant. Jevone' is originally from Chicago, completed her Bachelor of Science in Community Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and enjoys spending time with her dog, family, and friends.

Alissa Spruill
Communication and Office Coordinator

Alissa Spruill joined the team as the Communication and Office Coordinator in February 2023. She came from a career in law enforcement where she worked as a public safety telecommunicator and a law enforcement instructor. Alissa taught law enforcement classes such as Active Shooter Response, Child Abuse Investigation and Intervention, and Trauma Informed Response. Alissa also has policy writing and communications experience from her time in law enforcement and with the Texas Department of Family Protective Services. Alissa is passionate about the overall health of children and is excited to support our members we serve! As the Communication and Office Coordinator, she will focus on several areas including: communication and marketing, meeting planning, and operational support.

Amy Case
Pediatric Preceptorship Program and the TPS Foundation Coordinator

Amy Case joined TPS in February of 2023 and is responsible for coordinating for the Pediatric Preceptorship Program and the TPS Foundation.  Before coming to TPS, Amy worked for 13 years as a project manager in the high-tech industry.  She has three children of her own and is passionate about improving health outcomes for all children.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from Texas A&M University.

Keylie Bennett
Practice Management Manager

Keylie Bennett joined the TPS staff in February 2023 as the Practice Management Manager. Previously, she worked in primary care and hospitalist physician group practices. She has a B.G.S. interdisciplinary degree from Texas State University with emphases in Health Administration, Health and Wellness Promotion, and Health Communication. Keylie also has a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Oklahoma State University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.  As the Practice Management Manager, she will focus on several areas including: grant-funded preventative care project, practice management related projects, and healthcare data analysis.
