The Texas Pediatric Society's first all-member wide Advocacy Day is here! This full day of interactive activities that will teach participants how to be an effective advocate for Texas children. The morning will include presentations from legislative experts, lawmakers, and TPS leaders on the ins-and-outs of making your voice heard at the Capitol. In the afternoon, you will put your skills into practice. TPS is scheduling office visits with lawmakers and staff on key policy priorities of the Texas Pediatric Society. We ask that if you register, you are able to attend all day. See below for more details.

The event is complimentary for current TPS members, but registration is required. Please read the information below on how to register.

AGENDA ITEMS WILL COVER:

• A keynote address from a member of the Texas Legislature.
• An orientation on effective advocacy.
• A highlight of important TPS legislative issues.
• Discussion on major issues facing pediatricians and children.
• Meetings with state lawmakers and their staff to ask for their support for TPS child health priorities.

HOW TO REGISTER:

First - you must be a TPS member! This event is complimentary for current TPS members. If you are not a current TPS member, you must first join TPS or renew your membership if it has expired.

Second – the event registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis for all membership levels. The deadline to register is 11:59 pm CT on Monday, March 27th or when the event fills up, whichever comes first. This event is non-transferable, so please do not forward – this invitation is exclusive to your membership.

Cancellations
We understand last minute things can come up. Please be mindful that your "seat" is reserved for you and is non-transferable. If you are unable to attend please email TPS Director of Member Services to cancel your registration so that we may make that spot available for another colleague. Please do not secure your own replacement for your cancelled registration. Thank you for your consideration.
