![]() Sam Cermignano, MD PGY-2, Pediatrics Baylor College of Medicine/Children's Hospital of San Antonio |
I'm Sam Cermignano, PGY-2 at Baylor College of Medicine/Children's Hospital of San Antonio. My hobbies outside of clinical hours include building our advocacy program, listening to podcasts, trivia and game nights, shamelessly singing and dancing with my coresidents, and playing with my prancing pup, Henrietta Licks. I am working to become a Pediatric Geneticist (with a dog name like that, are you surprised?) and I always knew pediatrics because within children there is every opportunity to shape a better future. They harbor so much joy, resilience, and insight and I admire that even in the darkest of times, they still have the capacity to dream. |

Hi! I'm Sara. I'm originally from Littleton, Colorado, but have loved spending my last 4 years in Austin, Texas. I'm currently a chief resident for the Dell Med Austin Pediatrics program and have loved being involved with TPS throughout residency. I am so excited to take that even further during this Advocacy Academy. Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing pickleball (yes, the hype is true), exploring all the fun places in my Austin neighborhood, and cheering for UT, Notre Dame and Gonzaga sports teams. In the next year I will also be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah for a Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship. Looking forward to meeting and working with you all! |

I grew up and completed all of my schooling in Texas at Austin College and Texas Tech before moving to New York for my pediatric residency at NYU. I have since moved back to Texas for my neonatology fellowship in Dell Children's in Austin. I chose a career in caring for children not only for the unique and dynamic challenge of caring for growing bodies and minds, but also for the opportunity to lend my voice in support of those who may not have the ability or confidence to speak for themselves. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and playing board games with my wife, Libby! |
Sharwin Khot, MD PGY-3, Pediatrics University of Texas at Dell Medical Center, Austin |
My name is Sharwin Khot, and I’m a 3rd year pediatrics resident. I chose pediatrics because I love taking care of children and to become an advocate for the vulnerable. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors on a hiking trail or the river, photography, and spending time with my fiancé and our new dog, Eddie! |
|
My name is Radha, which is pronounced like a British person saying "rather." Outside of the hospital, I love hiking, playing trivia, and trying to convince my fiancé to get a dog (pictured is my dog-niece, Kaia). |
Mary Rouse, MD PGY-3, Pediatrics UT Health Houston |
I am Mary Rouse, and I am a current PGY3 at UT Houston. I chose pediatrics because I love caring for children and helping to make the next generations as safe and healthy as possible. Outside of medicine, I love to spend time with my husband and our two corgis. |
|
I’m a current 3rd year pediatrics resident. I love pediatrics because I enjoy working with the whole family unit and teaching about healthy growth and development. When not working, I enjoy traveling, playing basketball and coaching at the local rec center. |
Annette Ville, MD PGY-4, Pediatrics University of Texas Southwestern |
Annette Ville grew up in Satellite Beach, Florida, and attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate and medical school. She has always been drawn to pediatrics and is pursuing a career in primary care with a focus on underserved communities and advocacy. In her free time, she loves hiking with her dog and reading fantasy. |
