Carrie Kroll
Director of Advocacy and Healthy Policy

Carrie Kroll has served as the Director of Advocacy and Health Policy for the Texas Pediatric Society (TPS) since 2002.  On behalf of TPS Carrie advocates on issues of importance to children as well as the practice of pediatrics. 

Before coming to TPS, Carrie worked alongside former Texas State Representative and House Public Health Committee Chairman, Hugo Berlanga.  It was there that her interest in health care advocacy was born.  Prior to that Carrie spent time working both inside the capitol as a legislative aide and outside the capitol as a campaign manager for two members of the Texas House of Representatives. She was the 2004 recipient of the Austin Business Journal’s Health Care Hero award for her work on behalf of Texas children and is a 1998 graduate of Southern Methodist University.

Crystal Healey
Membership Services Manager

Crystal joined the staff of the Texas Pediatric Society in January of 2008. She graduated from the University of Texas in 2004 and started her association management with the Texas Medical Association in 2005.

Amy White
Director of the TPS Foundation and the General Pediatric Preceptorship Program

Amy joined the TPS Staff in October of 2006.  Before coming to TPS, Amy worked in nonprofit advocating for the employment of people with disabilities as the Executive Director of the Austin office of Community Options, and prior to that worked for the Texas Dental Association’s Smiles Foundation as the Director of their Donated Dental Services Program.  She has over 10 years of experience in both Association and Nonprofit management, and a B.S from Texas State University.

Laura Blanke, MPH
Practice Education Manager

Laura joined the staff of the Texas Pediatric Society in March of 2007. Before coming to TPS, Laura attended the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health, where she obtained an MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education in 2006.  Though much of her focus prior to employment at TPS was in the area of infectious disease prevention and research, Laura is enjoying the fulfillment working for the benefit of children brings.
