Office Managers Sections

On January 1, 2006, the Texas Pediatric Society formed the Office Managers Section to be a voice and resource for pediatric office managers in Texas. 

Purpose

The Texas Pediatric Society serves the spectrum of pediatric practices from small to large.  Our new Office Managers Section assists members through information, education, professional contacts, and advocacy.  Its core purpose is to improve the effectiveness of pediatric practices and the knowledge and skills of the individuals who manage them.

Structure

The Office Managers Section is staffed by the professional personnel of the Texas Pediatric Society office in Austin and led by a volunteer Steering Committee of office managers.  This Committee works with the Texas Pediatric Society staff to maintain up-to-the-minute information on changes in health care and how to handle them.

How to Join

The Office Managers Section is open to all pediatric office managers, administrators, and staff.  The Office Managers Section connects you to other office managers across the state of Texas.  You become an important connection in a support system that is continually strengthened by the involvement and dedication of its members. 

2007 membership is FREE!  Just fill out the Membership Application, and submit it to Texas Pediatric Society.  We are continuously working to keep the Office Managers Section membership free by requesting sponsorships from corporations and by encouraging all pediatricians in Texas to become dues-paying members of the Texas Pediatric Society.

Benefits

As a member of our Office Managers Section, you will receive a myriad of practice management information and resources.  The TPS Annual Meeting for the Office Managers Section offers two full days of practice management seminars on September 19-20, 2007 at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel in the Woodlands.  Registration booklets will be mailed to members.
