As part of our annual conference, TPS holds a two day meeting designed specifically for office administrators on topics relevant to practice management. The 2011 Office Managers Section Meeting will be held Friday, September 23rd and Saturday, September 24th at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square in Sugar Land, Texas. Update on Children’s Initiatives in the Medicaid Program

We will share info on EMRs, health information exchange, e-prescribing, meaningful use; and discuss how regional extension centers can help you use these new technologies to benefit your practice.

Vaccine Administration: Using CPT Codes 90460 and 90461

Jason Terk, MD
This presentation will provide participants with complete information on CPT codes 90460 and 90461, the new vaccine administration codes that became available for use earlier this year.  In addition to providing an overview of coding for vaccine administration and information on how and why these new codes were developed, this session will include details on: properly using the new codes, determining who falls into the category of “other qualified health care professional”, and establishing best practices for documenting counseling. Participants will also be provided with tools to assess payments in comparison to other vaccine administration codes.
